Cut paper, paint, and other mixed media on wood or cardboard book-cover panels. Some of these collages are for sale in my shop and/or available as high-quality prints on Inprnt. I’ll also consider commissions.

Making a book, like a picture book, is a regimented and very planned-out process, making these collages is the opposite. It is visceral, and surprising, and unplanned. In the sense that with neither books nor with collages do I know what the finished work will look and feel like, these two things are similar. But that’s where it stops. The reasons for the surprise are vastly different, and the road to get there couldn’t be more dissimilar.

Contemporary Collage magazine, a digital publication based in the UK, interviewed me for a feature about this collage work. The article and magazine are by-subscription so I can’t link a PDF, but here are a few spreads from the piece.

Some process photos of the making of these collages.
